1. Tullow Oil Plc - TURKANA
New developments are being advanced in east Africa. Project sanction is anticipated for the company’s Kenya joint venture by the end of this year. We aiming to reach a final investment decision. On the exploration front, high impact new drilling is due to start after the decrease of COVID 19 and the need to replace existing reserves is key. VMI is taking the opportunity to invest in new projects, and progress in the East African portfolio looks promising.
2. Base Titanium - KWALE
This is a proud achievement for the company and represents a significant milestone in the partnership between the government of Kenya, Base Titanium and Volcano Mining International, the local subsidiaries and operating entity of Base Resources, in promoting further development of the sector in Kenya.
3. Wind Energy - KENGEN
Volcano International conducted the first quantitative, scientific evaluation of the proposed, major, energy-related solutions by assessing not only their potential for delivering energy for electricity and vehicles, but also their impacts on global warming, human health, energy security, water supply, space requirements, wildlife, water pollution, reliability and sustainability.
